Our contributions to our customer??s success is driving our growth.As an IT Release Engineer you will be responsible for providing and following repeatable processes for rolling out releases involving technical projects or a definable portion of a larger technical program in accordance with contract requirements and company policies, procedures and guidelines. Collaborates well with all engineering and operational stakeholders in the implementation of high quality, documented, effective, and efficient releases. Assists in the implementation and validation of requirements during change, configuration and other testing activities, engineering events, and reviews in accordance with project objectives. Responsible for acquiring follow-on business associated with assigned projects and for supporting new business development by leading relatively small proposals or assisting with major proposals.Responsibilities include but not limited to:Forward plan the release windows and cycles across a portfolioManage risks and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule and qualityMeasure and monitor progress to ensure application and other baseline releases are delivered on time and within budget, and that they meet or exceed expectationsProvide early lifecycle support post-deploymentDeploy and maintain Windows 10 VDI clients using VMWare Horizon View in a VMWare ESXi environment. Coordinate release content and effort based on the service request backlog, pending service requests, third party applications, or operating system updatesCommunicate all key project plans, commitments, and changes including requirements, QA plans, schedule, and scope changesManage relationships and coordinate work between different teams at different locationsConduct and/or participate in Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviewProduce deployment plans and reviews implementation plansCommunicate release details and schedules to the business needs as requiredNegotiate, plan and manage release activitiesWork with Service Design team leads to understand impacts of branches and code mergesUpdates the release schedule for all core services and ensure alignment across key partners and vendorsContinually work towards making improvements in the release processCoordinate the Go-Live activities including the execution of the deployment Plans and checklistsDevelops scripts and automation tools used to build, integrate, and deploy software releases to various platformsParticipate in CCB meetings to discuss release scope and/or roadblocksMaintains a release repository and manages key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification listsResearches new software development and release management methodologies and technologies and analyzes their application to current release management needsPosition Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field0-3 years of previous release and/or project management experience.2-4 years of experience in information systems operations environment in systems analysis or developmentFamiliar with software development lifecycleDemonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completionDemonstrated effective analytical skillsGood written and verbal communication skills are a mustSecurityCE certification or equivalent requiredEnterprise Desktop and Application virtualization experience with a preferred certification in one or more of the following: VMware Horizon View, Microsoft Hyper-V / App-V, Citrix XenDesktop / XenAppFlexible work hours to support minimal early shift, after hour and weekend release activitiesDesired Requirements:Experience with ACAS scanning toolMCSE - Microsoft Certified System Engineer ?? Desktop Infrastructure Solutions Expert (2008 products or later) desired SCCM Experience/CertificationITIL v3 CertifiedFamiliar with installing and administering CISCO routers and switches.Security RequirementsTop Secret clearance require QualificationsRequires Bachelor??s degree (in Computer Science, Math, Electrical Engineering or related field) or equivalent, and two to four years of related experience.DegreesEquivalent Experience/EducationBachelor's DegreeYears of Experience02-04 years w/Bachelors Degree
