Lead Field Technician The Lead Field Technician (LFT) is responsible for optimizing e-bike availability in the field. The primary goal of the LFT is to ensure the maximum availability of ebikes to users. The LFT is responsible managing the in-flow and outflow of bikes as they cycle through charging and safety inspection protocols. The LFT owns driver dispatch and is responsible for minimizing dead bike downtime by effectively managing all field operations during their shift. Additionally, the LFT is responsible for understanding various bike states and dispatching field technicians to address all issues that arise in the field.
The LFT reports to the Field Operations Manager (FOM). Responsibilities Supervise recharging and safety inspection operations Dispatch vans to distribute and collect bicycles Communicate with customer service and respond to incidents Recover stolen bikes Operate, load, and unload a large van to help move bikes around JUMP's service area Maintain a safe and efficient work environment by following safe work practices and procedures Perform routine inspection and redistribution of bicycles Document damage to JUMP vans and equipment Perform routine bicycle maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs as necessary Identify, document, and recover bikes requiring in-shop repair Log maintenance activity in software through wireless tablet Engage with and respond to customers in the field
